Haydn and Liszt
About This Show
When Franz Liszt saw that the language of music was changing, he felt that forms should change, too. His Second Piano Concerto is constructed in six musical scenes. After Simon Trpčeski brings them to life, hear how Mendelssohn quotes Martin Luther in a symphony written to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the Augsburg Confession.
